本研究室近年致力於河川生態水理水文、河川棲地形貌動力之實驗與模式研究教學,包括:(1)納入生態標的之水庫多目標最佳化營運策略與模式研發;(2)河川水文流制評估之新指標建立;(3)河川棲地底質顆粒之紊流啟動機制實驗探討;(4)研發創新之特性消散有限元素河川棲地形貌動力模式;(5)利用光達(LiDAR)量測河川棲地高解析度數值高程模式(DEM)與各種尺度地貌特性。近五年最具代表性學術著作發表於傑出期刊,包括Water Resources ResearchJournal of Geophysical Research,兩者皆為美國地球物理聯盟American Geophysical Union (AGU)出版之高品質學術期刊,前者是水資源(Water Resources)領域之旗艦期刊(Rank 3/83IF 3.5495-year IF 4.144),後者在地科(Geosciences)領域具有崇高學術地位(Rank 19/175IF 3.4265-year IF 3.667)。由於在河川生態水理水文與河川形貌動力領域研究成果獲國際肯定,獲邀擔任Water Resources Research期刊副主編(Associate Editor),是台灣地區唯一獲邀擔任此項職務之學者,亦是兩岸三地首位,此不僅是個人榮譽,亦代表台灣學者在水資源領域之學術表現受到國際重視,對於提升我國際學術地位具有非常正面之實質意義。
